The Throne of the Harlot II
We have been explaining the signs of the end described in the books of Matthew and Luke, those are divided in several parts and it is a requisite for us to understand and comprehend them; only this way we will be able to identify them and the seed of the Word planted in our heart could be able to grow and give fruit.
Chapter 24 of the book of Matthew is dedicated to eschatology that within it the Lord motivates us not to worry when we listen about wars and rumors of wars, because the end is not yet. When we see the history of humanity we realize that in the world there always have been wars therefore the wars “signs” talked in the Word are not the same as the wars previous in history; for example on July 28, 1914 the first world war started (The Great War); which took place mainly in Europe and ended on November 11, 1918; when Germany asked for the armistice and later on June 28, 1919, the other countries signed what we know as the Versailles Treaty. This war was a sign, according to the Bible, however the end won’t come yet. Then in 1938 other series of civil conflicts started and ended in a war that last until the year 1945, 7 years of war (typifying the 7 years of tribulation). The Bible also mentions about rumors of war and as an example we mention what history calls the “cold war”; that took place after the Second World War and started on 1947, during the tensions after-war, and lasted until the Soviet Union dissolved. The reasons for this fight were essentially ideological and politics. Another example would be “the Missiles Crisis at Cuba”, that was named because of the conflict among The United States, The Soviet Union and Cube in October 1962. This conflict started because the United States discovered missiles nuclear bases at Cuban territory. This conflict is known as “Caribbean Crisis” or “October Crisis”.
The Mega-Banquet II
In previous studies it’s been explained that in the Bible there are many mysteries, for example: are the mysteries of God the Father, the mysteries of God the Son and the mysteries of God the Holy Spirit; several of them were placed in the Scriptures by their names, as the mystery of pity and iniquity. On the other side we find mysteries described as mega-mysteries, among them the mystery of the Communion and the marriage of Christ and the Church.
The people from Israel celebrate a Communion which is known as Passover. This celebration takes place as a reminder of the moment they were set free from slavery at Egypt. They were slaves from over 430 years before they were liberated by Moses and went to the desert until they reached Canaan. For this reason they teach their children this great event and pass it through generation to generation how important this celebration is.
The Lord Jesus a few moments before He ended His ministry at this World, celebrated the Passover as a closure and inauguration of what we know today as the Communion, which announces the new pact we have in Jesus Christ. To this meal it is not called meal, but called mega-meal.
The Mega-Banquet I
When the Lord Jesus Christ spoke at the Last Supper many of His disciples, who followed Him, abandoned Him, because He said that they had to eat from His body and drink from His blood, something that shocked them because they thought He spoke that literally. This is why it is so important to understand it; and also add faith and in this way evolve.
Luke 14:16-19 16 But he said to him, "A man once gave a great banquet and invited many. 17 And at the time for the banquet he sent his servant to say to those who had been invited, 'Come, for everything is now ready.' 18 But they all alike began to make excuses. The first said to him, 'I have bought a field, and I must go out and see it. Please have me excused.' 19 And another said, 'I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to examine them. Please have me excused.'
The Great Event
Every day we live is a blessing and they have precious things, because the mercies of the Lord are new every morning. We see that in the Jewish celebrations there is a resting day and it is a celebration for them; however, in their calendar, which has 360 days, there is a day called the day of the great celebration, this day is over the others; for them, Tuesday which is the third day of the Jewish calendar, it is very important because we read in the Bible that God, at the moment of the creation proclaimed double of blessing to everything that was created in the third day.
We as Christians, newborns, we do not keep days or participate of the celebrations the world celebrates, such as Christmas or Halloween, or any other day set in the calendar. We know that all days are extraordinary because we see in each of them the mercy of the Lord, but there is a day that brings us a mega-blessing and this is when we set our heart to approach the table of the Lord. Among the mysteries that are mentioned in the Scriptures, there are two “mega-mysteries” highlighted for us to know: the mystery of the Communion and the mystery of the marriage of Christ and the Church.
ESV Luke 22:12 And he will show you a large upper room furnished; prepare it there."
At the large upper room the Lord celebrated the last Passover for the Jewish and started the Communion. In order to celebrate this event, the Lord asked to get a large or “mega” upper room, because what was going to take place was something beyond any other activity since He was stablishing a new pact with His people. Now we do not longer celebrate Passover but we celebrate the Communion, with bread and wine, elements that come to be His blessed body and His blessed blood. The word “mega” it is used in computing when megabytes are mentioned, also to described a truly large temple; so when we use this prefix to describe the Communion what we are saying is that this event is something extraordinary and goes beyond what our mind could ever conceive.
The first Communion was celebrated in a place where the Lord placed all disciples to take them to an extraordinary place, to the mega-upper room. In this sense it is necessary that we understand that in our time the Communion is celebrated in a physical place, but we are place in a dimensional place so we receive the mega-benefits of the large upper rood that the Lord has given us.
ESV Luke 14:16-19 16 But he said to him, "A man once gave a great banquet and invited many.
What the previous passage means is that the mega-event has to deal with a mega-banquet, because it is a special spiritual meal. These verses say that this man invited many but all of them excused. All the guests considered this event unimportant because they excused themselves to go to the banquet. The many represent the ones who stayed at the Court-yard, the less are the ones who move to the Holy Place and the faithful are the one to move to the Holy of Holies place.
When we stay only at the Court-yard we are as the “many”; if we belong to this group we might get lost. The Bible mentions two ways: one with a narrow gate and the other with a wide gate. The narrow gate is chosen by the few and the wide gate is chosen by the many; and this group are the ones who get lost (Matthew 7:13); this is why we must analyze to which group we belong to and move forward up to reach the group of the faithful.
We are not able to determine the maturity level of a person just because he or she performs miracles or prophesizes; these are no indicators of reaching the measure that the Lord expects from each and every one of us. The many are a great quantity and from this place – the court-yard – they are able to move to Holy Place they are in great risk of returning to the world; this is the place where the false prophets move. If we stay in this group, our love will get cold; this is why the Bible says: “Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.” (Proverbs 4:23).
ESV Matthew 24:5 For many will come in my name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and they will lead many astray.
We read that many will be lead to stray by the enemy; these are those who belong to the group of the many and have not moved forward to next level.
Matthew 26:26-28 26 Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, "Take, eat; this is my body." 27 And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, saying, "Drink of it, all of you, 28 for this is my blood of the(1 covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
The body is for the disciples and the husband who is faithful gives the body to his wife, so the disciples are synonyms of the wife; in other words the Lord tells us that by the Communion moves us from the many to the less; because His blood is poured for the many so their sins are forgiven. At the event of the Communion many are invited, but less will come out by His blood. One of the mega-blessing that the Lord has for us is that we are not staying in this group, even if we feel desperate by the iniquity that this world represents currently; our love will get cold since we are participating of His mega-table and getting the mega-benefits that it offers.
ESV Matthew 24:10 And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another.
The great event is the Communion; God wants to change us from the group of the many to the group of the less and then enter the Holy of Holies place. If we have fallen, according to that the previous verse says, is that were in the place of the group of the many but He wants to take us to the group of the les, because He has called to His table. We must move to the Holy Place so we do not become bitter Christians. It is necessary to experiment a change inside of us, as Paul the Apostle who lived happily besides the environment he moved in and the difficult circumstances he had to face. Let’s keep our heart and evolve until we reach to become the group of the faithful.
Do not abandon your Position
1 Samuel 17:12 KJV Now David was the son of that Ephrathite of Bethlehem Judah, whose name was Jesse; and he had eight sons: and the man went among men for an old man in the days of Saul.
In the context of this Biblical verse, it describes that David was the younger of Isaiah’s sons and his job was to watch after his father’s sheep heard; but three of his older brothers were serving alongside Saul the King going to war. The people of Israel in those moments were facing the Philistines armies and Goliath the giant; who scared them with his threats and nobody wanted to face him; certainly, the people were going through difficult moments forgetting God’s promises, because they were the people that God had chosen for himself.
As the church of the Lord Jesus Christ, we are fighting battles in our journey on this earth; but these battles are neither against flesh nor blood but, against principalities, powers, governors and spiritual powers in the celestial regions.
The Evolution of Home
The foundations that a marriage must have to prevail are those established by God in His Holy Word. When man tries to institute his own foundations, he is breaking the model that God has already established and puts in risk his own home because nothing that has being edified over humanist thoughts can prevail. At studying the Bible, we can see that the first prophesy found in the Book of Genesis related to home or family is in (Genesis 2:24); and in the last book of the Old Testament, once again we find another prophecy addressed to family, in which the Lord is telling us that in the final time He is going to send the Prophet Elijah, who will turn the fathers´ heart to their children and the children´s heart to their parents (Malachi 4:5-6); in other words this prophesy talks about the familiar restoration. Plus this, the Bible tells us that the first miracle that the Lord did, while he ministered as the anointed, was precisely in the Cana weeding (John 2:2-12); this allows us to understand how interested the Lord is in our home welfare.
We have explained in previous studies, that one of the virtues of the book of Psalms, is that the Psalm 118:8 is the central point of the Bible which typifies our Lord Jesus Christ who is our center. Chapter 117 is the smallest and typifies the Old Testament. Chapter 119 is the longest one and it represents the New Testament. After chapter 119 we find what we know as the “Songs of degree” which are 15 Psalms, starting from Psalm 120 to Psalm 134. These 15 Psalms have in a codified way, the doctrine that the Church Bride must have as part of her formation and equipment. Inside the doctrine of the caught up, we find the doctrine about the edification of the house, because the Bible shows us that if the Lord do not edifies a home the edifiers work in vain (Psalm 127:1). It is necessary that the Lord be the center of our home and so our home can prevail.
At forming a home, we all start from a cero point the process of edification, but as long as time goes through, the normal is that we go evolving and the love gets stronger even more than when we started, that means reach a plenty. But a marriage does not care about details of love and lost the communication, they get into an evolution process and they do not feel the same emotion that they use to feel and they start wishing to have what they dah years before and they think that that time was the best than the present time, and that puts in danger the home stability. The Bible exhorts us to not say that the past times are best than present because talking in that way shows our lack of wisdom (Eccl. 7:110).
Some meanings of the word “evolution”
-Process that some things must go through and consist in abandon a stage to go the next one.
We all need a process of biological evolution, which consist in four stages: childhood, teenage, adulthood and old age. Each one of these stages have a determine time of being, which is why in the process between one and the other there must exist an evolution in our way of acting and speaking. To get to one stage to another it is necessary to leave the previous stage, for that reason we see the Apostle Paul in his epistle to the Corinthians using an example about the spiritual adulthood: “…When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things…” (1 Corinthians 13:11). In that way should be our marriage; it means, there must be a process of evolution driving us to acquire maturity.
-Gradual development, growing or advance of things or organism.
Some synonyms of the word “evolve” are: growing, movement, advance. We must wonder if our marriage has grow, if it has evolved, if it has advanced.
-Integration of transformations or changes through time.
In marriage there must be an integration of transformations or positive changes through time. These transformations do not happen in an immediately way but they happen in a process of evolution, it means from stage to stage.
In this year, the Lord has decreed a new beginning for His people and as a part of it, we received the opportunity of having a new beginning in our marriage too; if for any reason it has involve, with the new beginning we can get into the gradual process of development and growing in our homes.
Rom 12:2 KJ2000 And be not conformed to this world: but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
There are three characteristics that shape the antithesis of the transformation; one of them is the fact of conforming; for that reason the Apostle Paul exhorts the people to not conform to this century, which means that they must not take the shape or adapt to this century. The word “century” comes from the original Greek “Aion” (G165) and it can be translated as “current of this world”. The fact of conforming can drive a person to two dangerous end; which are: the deformation and the malformation. For our house to be transformed it is necessary to abandon this world´s current; we cannot be like those who live with the customs of this world. Our home must rest over the foundations that God instituted in His Holy Word and not over humanism concepts, the physiology or the philosophy. It is necessary that we analyze what kind of formation has our home, because we could being edifying it under foundations learned in our parent´s home and they could be wrong.
The Bible mentions some cities which names start with the prefix “beth” which means “house” and when we search the meaning of those names we realize that they represent a state or condition, which could be negative or positive, and that could be the situation of a home.
Num 32:36 And Bethnimrah, and Bethharan, fortified cities: and folds for sheep.
The name “beth-nimrah” is translated as “house of bitter water”. In the Bible we see some occasions in which the word “bitterness” is found it is related with jealousy. For instance, the Scriptures shows us that where there are bitter jealousy and personal ambition there is also confusion and all evil thing (James 3.16).
Num 5:14 And the spirit of jealousy comes upon him, and he is jealous of his wife, and she is defiled: or if the spirit of jealousy comes upon him, and he is jealous of his wife, and she is not defiled:
The Restart of the Mind
The Lord, this year gave us an extraordinary proclaim, we have seen the restart of our lives in different spheres in the things we do, but now we focus in the figure in which God wants us to change our mind, specifically having a restart of the mind.
Romans 12:2 KJV And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
The Word is giving us an instruction; that we should not live like the world does, though the people in the world have tribulation, by the illness called stress. Like human beings, what is happening around the world does affect us in one way or another for example: the climate and the political problems of the Middle East, even if we ignore how is affecting us. We have been called to enter the repose of the Lord to be able to receive the God’s blessings, but if we are not receiving the things He gives us and He wants to give to us; God has called us to have a different life to what the world lives.
The Time of your Reward
It is possible that some of us have had a year of struggling, and difficulties, but we also have seen that in spite of so much struggling the Lord has never abandon us, He has being there for us. Many times through the prove he feel that He is hiding form us, but He is closer than ever. The Lord knows what we are living and He has the control of our life; He will answer us because the time of our reward is now here.
Mat 5:12 KJ2000 Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets who were before you.
Col 3:24 KJ2000 Knowing that of the Lord you shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for you serve the Lord Christ.
The New Beginning of the Church III
In previous study we explained how important it is that the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ returns to its beginning, also understand which is exactly the beginning to return to, since we read in the Bible that no matter how small the beginning of the Church was it practiced the sound doctrine taught by the Apostles of the Lamb of God and the Holy Spirit; it reached a moment in which it deviated from the way, this is why we read in the book of Revelation it is mentioned 7 Churches; having different doctrines to practice and were unlikable to the Lord. It is necessary that the Church comes back to be as it was in its faith at the beginning and remain unanimous so we all remain in the same spirit, as it is the Lord’s longing. From this premise it is necessary that we know which are the characteristics and duties of the true Church to have and represent.
We have explained previously that as in the book of Revelation 7 churches are mentioned we also see in the Old Testament how it mentions 7 women who helped men; eat out of their own bread, dress their own garments and only carry their own name (Isaiah 4:1); this is figuratively speaking, represent those churches that regret the sound doctrine of the gospel and the coverage of God in the five primary ministries; so they have their own doctrine without subjecting to the authority delegated by God but they pretend to be called Christians.
On the other side we read in the book of Acts; 18 women are mentioned among them there are 7 called by their own name that made what was good to God. These 7 women are the prototype of the Church of the Lord; in their names are encrypted the characteristics of the Bride Church that we must have. The first mentioned is Mary, mother of Jesus (Acts 1:14); we have explained that the Church must be the mother of Jesus, so it must testify of the Lord to be His disciples and do what God the Father will as the mystical Body of Christ, as His will for each one of us as individuals. Why do we say this? Because we read in the Bible that the Lord Jesus said that His mother and brothers and sisters are those who listen the word of God and put it into practice (Luke 8:21).
ESV Acts 12:12 When he realized this, he went to the house of Mary, the mother of John whose other name was Mark, where many were gathered together and were praying.
The second woman mentioned by her name is Mary, mother of Mark. In order to understand the duties and characteristics reflected in this woman (Church) firstly we must read the biblical context about who John Mark was and the process he got through his entire life. Paul and Barnabas the Apostles that because they proclaimed the gospel and founded several churches at many places, and John Mark was one who accompany them and the Bible says was Barnaby’s cousin. The Scriptures tells us that John Mark left then in one of their trips and ahead when Paul prosed Barnabas to return to visit the brothers of the cities they previously proclaimed the Gospel; Barnaby wanted to invite John Mark but he denied; Paul disagree and separated, so Barnaby took with him John Mark and left to Cyphers and Paul took with him
Silas and left to Syria and Cilicia (Acts 15:36-41).
ESV Colossians 4:10 Aristarchus my fellow prisoner greets you, and Mark the cousin of Barnabas (concerning whom you have received instructions - if he comes to you, welcome him)…
Paul the Apostle was in prison and from this place he recommended John Mark, what shows us that besides he deserted him, they he regretted, asked for forgiveness, and came back to the sound doctrine and next to Paul the Apostle. For this to happen John Mark must have defeated his pride and his fears.
ESV 2 Timothy 4:10-12 10 For Demas, in love with this present world, has deserted me and gone to Thessalonica. Crescens has gone to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia. 11 Luke alone is with me. Get Mark and bring him with you, for he is very useful to me for ministry. 12 Tychicus I have sent to Ephesus.
Once again we read in the Word that John Mark was next to Paul and his attitude had changed, so Paul the Apostle said that he was useful for the ministry.
Life of a human being is divided in four faces: childhood, teenager, adulthood and elderly. The Bible motivates us to instruct the child in his way and when he comes to be old he won’t set apart of it (Proverbs 22:6). If we teach our children appropriately and plant the seed of the gospel since they are children then when they go through teenage years or adulthood maybe they could deviate their walk, but the seed of the Word is planted in their hearts and will grow and make in them to return to the ways of the Lord, because it is a promise of God to our life. Even if our children are rebellious and rebelled against God and moved away from him, we do not have to lose our hope of seen them again because the seed we have planted in their hearts and will make a great impact in their life and in their heart will return to obedience to God; we just have to remain trusted fully in Him.
John Mark deserted the sound doctrine when he was a “teenager”, however the instruction of his mother, that she gave him in his childhood, gave fruit and the Lord brought him back to Paul and set his steps in such a way, that Paul testified that he was useful for the ministry.
Interestingly, these two women, the ones we have studied, carry the title of Mother. There were given 3 names to the woman: The first one is Adam (Genesis 5:1-2). This name was given by God; the second name is baroness o Ishsha (H802), being Adam who named her in this way (Genesis 2:24) and the third name is Eve, mother of the living (Genesis 3:20). Eve is the figure of the church, what makes us understand that the true Church of the Lord must give birth; must be the mother of the living.
ESV 2 Samuel 20:18-19 Then she said, "They used to say in former times, 'Let them but ask counsel at Abel,' and so they settled a matter. I am one of those who are peaceable and faithful in Israel. You seek to destroy a city that is a mother in Israel. Why will you swallow up the heritage of the LORD?"
The Abel mentioned in this biblical passage is not Adam and Eve son but it is the name given to a mother city of Israel. When the Church becomes a mother city, no adversary could destroy it because it is protected by God and their foundation is firm in the sound doctrine of the Gospel. Now well one of its duties as a mother city is that it must have word of advice.
AMP 1 Samuel 6:18 Also the mice of gold was according to the number of all the cities of the Philistines belonging to the five lords, both fortified cities and country villages. The great stone, on which they set the ark of the Lord, remains as a witness to this day in the field of Joshua of Beth-shemesh.
The name Abel also was given to the Stone in which the ark of the Lord was placed. Here it is talking in a figurative sense, since the stone of Abel is the Church of the Lord in which it is laid the presence of God or the Ark of the Covenant. The true Church must be fulfilled of the Holy Spirit and the presence of the Lord must be seen reflected in it.
We must have a new beginning as Church of the Lord, return to the beginning. We need to remove of our life everything that has not been planted by the Lord, to become the mother of Jesus and give birth to the living. That comfort word and advice must be in us for the ones in need, also the ability to repent and ask for forgiveness when we commit a fault to the Lord or some of our brothers or sisters in faith. That we testify of the greatness of the Lord, not only with words but also with our actions and become light in the middle of the darkness.
The New Beginning of the Church II
In the previous study we analyze the new beginning of the Church and set the example of itself; as a group that must return to the true mystic and philosophy; as the Church of the beginning.
ESV Revelation 1:11 saying, "Write what you see in a book and send it to the seven churches, to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea."
